Hyundai is set to introduce a range of new models in the US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
The carmaker has announced the new vehicles will be available from 2019 to 2021.
Hyundai will unveil its 2019 Corvette in California, Australia in 2021 and New York City in 2021.
“The US and Canada are our fastest growing markets, but we are committed to expanding globally to meet the needs of the global consumer and we are excited to unveil the 2019 Corvax in 2019 in both markets,” said Mr John Taylor, global head of product strategy at Hyundai.
The new vehicles come as Hyundai looks to improve its market share in the luxury segment.
The Japanese automaker currently has 17.4 per cent of the market, but its market shares in the high-end segment are steadily declining.
The brand is also working on an SUV, but there are doubts over the future of that vehicle.
“We will also continue to invest in the emerging markets in order to create a sustainable future for our global brand and to drive our global growth,” Mr Taylor added.
“This means a new SUV in 2021 in both China and the United States will be the first of a number of new cars to be unveiled at this year’s New York International Auto Show (NYIAS).”
This new lineup will offer a compelling combination of design, technology, and performance, and will offer Hyundai a unique opportunity to expand its global presence and position for the future.
“Hyundai also unveiled a range-topping new SUV, the X6.
“At the heart of the X7 will be a fully-equipped five-passenger SUV with the same high-performance and safety features as the X4 SUV. “
Hyundai will also introduce the X5 to the market in 2021, a four-door compact sedan with a three-speed automatic transmission and an enhanced safety suite,” said Hyundai.
The new Corvettes will go on sale in 2019 for around $60,000. “
These vehicles will offer the best of both worlds with the world’s most advanced safety and security systems and a spacious, aerodynamic cabin.”

“Our new offerings in 2019 will also include an all-new X6,” said Mark Siegel, senior vice president of automotive innovation, Hyundai.
Hyundai is also expanding its brand in Asia, introducing the X8 in 2022.
Hyundai said the X2 and X8 will be introduced in 2022, while the X3 and X4 in 2023.
“In 2019, we will introduce a brand new version of the Hyundai Genesis, a premium compact SUV with an all new design and premium interior,” said John Taylor.
“With its powerful 6.0L inline-four engine, the Genesis delivers exceptional performance at a premium price.”
The company has already announced that it will introduce new models to Australia in 2019, Japan in 2019 and South Korea in 2019.
“It is a bold strategy for Hyundai to launch new products in 2019 as it builds on our existing lineup,” said Siegel.
“I am excited to see what the company is building for 2019 in all markets.”
Hyundai is working with some of the world-leading manufacturers in the car industry.
“As we continue to explore new technologies, expand our footprint and create a more efficient car fleet, we are always working with key manufacturers to build better vehicles for our customers,” said Lisa Bragg, senior product and marketing manager, Hyundai Cars.
